Although, the picture in my eyes looked find before hand, I still wanted the contrast of the image to be higher and the lighting to be darker as well. In Photoshop, I used the Adjustment settings- more specific I used the Brightness/ Contrast Adjustment. On the Brightness part of the image I dragged the slider to a negative seven, and the contrast of the image was changed by positive 57 units. The new image implies a more mysterious tone since the model's face is only half lit up.

Because I wanted to use this image that I took to represent the female portion of my audience, I had to substitute the background of the original to one that fit well to the female model. I wanted flexibility for the background of the image so I used the eraser tool in Photoshop and deleted the background of the original photo. Since the new image has no background, the newly created image can be put anywhere in my magazine , for the most part not looking out of place.
